Morning Menus

Updated: Oct 3, 2022

Cuddly little ones still in their pajamas, the smell of fresh brewed coffee, birds chirping out the kitchen window...mornings in my house contain precious sweet moments that I don't want to forget.

A huge benefit of homeschooling is that no one is rushing to get ready and out the door in the morning. Instead, I let my kids wake up when they want (which is usually around 8am), I stay in my robe with a messy bun on my head, and we all wake up at our own pace with coffee in hand and books in our laps.

Somethine I recently incoorporated into our morning routine is a Morning Menu. Have you heard of them? They might just be my new favorite thing. Here's a peek inside ours.

I bought a set of 2 restaurant menus for each of my boys. The great thing about these is that it protects your paper, keeps everything in one organized spot, and your littles can use dry erase markers (see more about that below). Also, you can easily change out what's inside your menu based on what you are learning.

We are doing a unit on bees right now, so I bought these adorable printables from Mornings Together. Included are adorable pictures, poems, and calendar/weather sheets all that fit our bee study.

I love this page- it gets us talking about our day, things we are thankful for, and ways we can be kind. I find that these are great conversation starters for my 2 and 4 year old!

I gave my 4 year old a dry erase marker and let him practice circling (I was actually quite impressed!).
